That's what you need to click; that puny little downward facing arrow on the top of Google Play. Took me a whole 20 minutes to figure this out. Googling how to update apps on Android was giving me outdated results about the obsolete Android Market. Clicking that arrow also gives you an overview of the apps in your android device.
